Description and Composition

The Deck-Saver™ is an adjustable steel insert which fits most existing deck blocks to allow the height of the deck to be adjusted.  It will accommodate 4 x 4 posts and beams.

The Deck-Saver™ base is made of 1 1/2" square steel tubing.  It has a threaded rod support which is 1/2" in diameter and 6 1/2" high.  A 12 gauge metal saddle is used to support the post/beam.  A washer and hex nut are located under the saddle. 

The steel tubing base is primed black.  The threaded rod is zinc plated.  The saddle is G60 galvanized.  The washer and hex nut are zinc plated.

 

Installation

The Deck-Saver™ is shipped fully assembled.  To install, cut approximately 3" off existing post and insert Deck-Saver™ into existing deck block. Adjust washer and hex nut to desired height. The Deck-Saver™ is not recommended for non-top supported installations, such as fences.
